My Monkey Can Tank

Bonkers and I entered the Caverns of Time instance called "The Black Morass" in hopes of gaining reputation with the Keepers of Time faction. Needing about 6000 more rep points until getting Revered, this was only the second time out of many more that we would be here. Fresh off a nice 4 member team that spanked the end boss easily, we thought we would run this again.

The team made it easily thru the first 17 time rifts with minimal damage. Lonos was in charge of crowd control, so he took care of all the mobs that made their way towards Medivh. Seduce and Bonkers were in charge of tanking the elites and bosses and dealing Melee damage. I took care of ranged DPS, while Cinqcents made sure we all stayed alive long enough to make it to the end. The first 10 elites and 2 bosses fell quite easily thanks to Seduce and Bonkers help.

We took care of the next 5 rift lords and then the final boss comes out with about 124K hit points. Seduce went down pretty quickly so Lonos abandoned the portal to help out. He also fell due to the damage being output by the boss. That left it to a hunter, a priest, and a monkey....... we were screwed.

Luckily, Bonkers had just levelled to 80 earlier in the day and he was holding aggro like a champ. Between shooting every 20 or so arrows, I did what i could to help with my Mend Pet, but Cinqcents carried the load with his awesome heal spamming. I used up about 20,000 mana and a few hundred arrows just to do as much damage as I could before he could kill Bonkers.

After what seemed like forever, it was all over. I had nearly no damage done to me (except the cost of mana pots and arrows) and Bonkers survived. Cinqcents was able to ressurect Seduce and Lonos so we could all partake in the spoils of the victory. Thru this experience in The Black Morass, I learned one very important thing.... My Monkey Can Tank!
